We actually just found out yesterday that the Humane Society will take Doc, get him the surgery he needs that we can't afford, and then find him a new home! We'll still be giving up our dog, but with much happier circumstances :) Good luck with your husband's interview! Heartbreaking, so I know what you're feeling. Good luck tomorrow. As for the job search, it might not be as bad as you think! My husband is also a computer guy (a sys admin), and the market has definitely picked up in the past few months, in our area anyway. When he was looking for a job in the beginning of 2009, he didn't have much luck but since the summer, things have been better and he actually has an interview today! Yay!
