A few things very quickly:
- Technically, I’ll be mostly offline next week as we go on vacation for a few days. Bye for now!
- In case you’re curious, my weight loss journey is going really well. If you want to follow it more closely, check out my personal trainer’s blog here. I blog there every week. And there are pictures!
- I wrote a guest post for fellow author Tom Avitabile’s blog today. His blog is pretty cool, it’s called It’s Only Fiction ‘Til It Happens. I wrote about how in my book PWNED, I imagined what would happen if the NSA snooped on a private American citizen. At the time, I thought that was pretty out there since that would be illegal. Oops…Anyway, check out the guest post here!
My guest post on The Writers Vineyard last week got kind of forgotten in the excitement of bringing a whole ‘nother person into the world, but I figured it was better late than never. I wrote another guest post for The Writers Vineyard, this time talking about the process of meeting my characters.
If you’ve got some spare time and feel like reading my musings on meeting my protagonists, click over and check out my post. It’s a short, though hopefully entertaining, read. Enjoy!
Judy Nickles of The Word Place fame was gracious enough to lend me some space on her blog to share the most important thing I’ve learned about writing so far. I had a lot of fun writing the post, and if you have some spare time I’d love it if you went and checked it out here.
It’s all about writing because you like it and not caring whether anyone will ever like it or read it because the joy’s in the pursuit. It’s not terribly deep, but it’s my hope that it’ll be encouraging to anyone who might be on the fence about writing.
