TTDNST: Hammer Time Duck Edition

Hey! It’s Thursday! That means that tomorrow is Friday, the day after that is the weekend, and we all know what the weekend means: waffles. Thursday is also the day I vowed to bring to you, my piquant readers, Things That Do Not Suck, as promised in this post.

I can assure you, I did not take my mission lightly. I searched high and low, looking through countless things that were amusing, snarky, or downright lewd. I found many things that made me smile, a few that made me laugh, but none that made me laugh as much as this.

Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you the inaugural Thing That Does Not Suck:

The thing I love about this image is that the duck appears to be on his way to falling down. My love for things falling down is well-documented, and I love that this picture captures the duck’s expression in the act.

When I found this image I laughed for a good hard second, and that is why I bring it to you today. Things That Do Not Suck Thursdays (a.k.a. TTDNST) are all about the antithesis to the times in which we live, and for today at least, that antithesis is a picture of a falling duck with funny text.

If you’ll recall, I never made any guarantees that the Things That Do Not Suck would be profound, or make sense, so no pitchforks, m’kay? In other news, Wes and I have a wedding rehearsal to go to tomorrow evening, so there may not be a post until Monday.

If that is the case, I wish you a very merry weekend and all the smiles your mouth can handle. As for me and my husband, we’ll be cavorting all over the city wearing tuxes and little black dresses with wedding cake and champagne in our pockets. No one ever said the party had to stop when the wedding was over, did they?

  1. I don’t know why, and I’m sure I’ve told you, but I am a sucker for pictures of animals with funny captions… Lolcats, FAILdogs, walruses with buckets, you name it. If I wasn’t typing this from an ipod touch, I would totally post several…

  2. -Dane, I’m so so glad this amused you, I enjoyed it too. I posted it with some trepidation, not knowing how other people might react to my particular sense of humor, so I’m glad at least one other person derived enjoyment from this!

  3. -Genay, I’m so glad this brightened your day! If I may get a tad philosophical here, perhaps we all need to start busting out our Hammer pants and our slick moves more often.
